Bring Learning and Team Building to Life in the Great Outdoors
Wondering where to take your students for this year’s school trip or looking to add some adventure to team building events or social functions? Well, look no further.
As Raglan’s only registered water sports provider and the area’s first Surfing New Zealand approved paddleboarding school Raglan Watersports provides a range of fun and safe water activities in the beautiful setting of Raglan.
Getting pupils/staff away from the familiar surroundings of the school/office and into the great outdoors is one of the most effective ways to motivate and energise and inspire, and where better to do that than in beautiful Raglan.
A Range of Activities
Paddleboarding Lessons & Excursions
Paddleboarding helps children and adults become more confident on the water while (most importantly) having fun. Our qualified instructors start by demonstrating the basics on land before taking you out in the flat waters of Raglan’s inner estuary and harbour to explore. We guarantee the experience is going to leave your group buzzing!
Or, set your students / staff the challenge of navigating the waterways on our super-sized XLRide board, which can carry up to 10 people at once!
We’ll start with brief instructions on the beach before embarking on a voyage of discovery around the harbour. Kayaking provides an up-close view of the harbour’s marine wildlife and unusual geological features, whilst having tons of fun!
Waikato River Tours
Take a voyage of discovery along the Mighty Waikato River through the centre of Hamilton, either by kayaks or paddle boards or on the XL paddle board.
Kite Boarding Lessons
A great introduction to this thrilling sport of kite boarding. This is a land only lesson that teaches students how to harness the wind and fly a kite.
A thrilling half-day adventure. We can supply a small team with everything they’ll need to land a tasty catch.
Take a guide and hike our local Mount Karioi - a forest-clad extinct volcano - or hike to the base of the wind turbines at Te Uku wind farm.
Mountain Bike Excursions
Take a spin up the Te Uku Wind Farm Pipiwharauroa Trail, a 18km return trip, across steep to rolling terrain with 360 degree views, or cruise the scenic coastal road from Te Toto Gorge back to Raglan (14km trip).
