This is an 18km return trip across steep to rolling terrain with 360 degree views across the greater Waikato, including Raglan, Kawhia and Aotea harbours. On a clear day you can see all the way to Mount Taranaki.

Taking you over privately-owned farmland on the Wharauroa Plateau to 430 metres above sea level, to get close to the wind turbines.

The trail takes around 2-3 hours to bike. We provide bike hire and transport to the start of the trail and then pick you up afterwards at either Bridal Veil Falls or the end of the track.

Important: Weather conditions on the trail are changeable and it is important you prepare for potential changing weather conditions typical to this area. Cyclists are required to keep to the track which covers private farmland. There are no public facilities – the nearest public toilet is at Bridal Veil Falls.

Or let us drop you at the beautiful Bridal Veil Falls and start your bike ride from here, first view these amazing 55 meter drop water fall before making your way  through scenic countryside on and off road back to Raglan.

The trail takes around 2 hours to bike and covers 18km.


Explore Raglan's Beauty starting from Te Toto Gorge

We drop you at Te Toto Gorge, a dramatic natural amphitheatre that was once the site of an extensive Maori rock garden. From here you’ll start your winding journey back to Raglan, enjoying the captivating coastal views across the Tasman Sea.

You’ll make your way through the famous surf breaks of Whale Bay and Manu Bay, before heading back to Raglan town centre. You might like to stop at Rock-it for a coffee or the Food Department in Raglan West for their amazing gelato ice cream before heading back to our yard.

This trip covers 14km and we give you up to two hours so you can enjoy the ride at your own pace.
